This Privacy Policy applies to Timedrop services (the “Platform”), which include Timedrop apps, websites, software and related services accessed via any platform or device that link to this Privacy Policy. The Platform is provided and controlled by Timedrop (“Timedrop”, “we” or “us”). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process the personal information of our users and other individuals in connection with our Platform. Timedrop is a performance intelligence Platform for competitive swimming that processes video, publicly available competition data, user-provided information, and related performance information to generate analysis, metrics, visualizations, comparisons, benchmarks, and other performance insights.
What Information We Collect
We may collect information from and about users, parents or guardians, athletes, children, and non-users who participate in swimming practices, meets, competitions, or other public or team-based swimming activities. This may include information you provide, information provided by teams or organizations, publicly available competition data, uploaded video, competition footage, and video-derived performance data used to generate analysis, metrics, benchmarks, comparisons, and other performance insights.
Information You Provide
When you create an account, upload content, contact us directly, or otherwise use the Platform, you may provide some or all of the following information:

Account and profile information, such as name, age, username, password, language, email, phone number, social media handles or account information, team affiliation, athlete profile information, recruiting profile information, and profile image.

User-generated content, including videos, photographs, text, comments, notes, race information, athlete information, and other content that you choose to create with or upload to the Platform (“User Content”), together with associated metadata, such as when, where, and by whom the content was created or uploaded. Even if you are not a user, information about you or your child may appear in User Content uploaded by users, teams, organizations, or Timedrop, including videos, competition footage, and competition-related content, which may be analyzed to produce performance metrics and insights.

Messages, which include information you provide when you compose, send, or receive messages through the Platform’s messaging functions. That information includes the content of the message and information about the message, such as when it was sent, received, or read, and message participants. Timedrop is not responsible for messages or content that users choose to send, share, or make available through the Platform.

Purchase information, including payment information processed through third-party payment providers, billing information, subscription information, credit purchases, transaction history, and related account or purchase records.

Your choices and communication preferences.

Information to verify an account, such as proof of identity or age.

Information From Other Sources
We may receive the information described in this Privacy Policy from other sources, such as:

Swimming data about users and non-users from publicly available sources and swimming-related sources, including meets, competitions, clubs, teams, schools, universities, governing bodies, meet results, psych sheets, heat sheets, live results, published video, livestreams, and other competition-related sources. This may include athlete names, results, times, splits, age, age group, gender category, events, participation history, team affiliation, and related competition information.

Login data, if you choose to sign up or log in to the Platform using a third-party service such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Google, or link your Timedrop account to a third-party service, we may collect information from that service.

We may receive information about you or your child(ren) from other users, including where you are included or mentioned in User Content, direct messages, in a complaint, appeal, request, or feedback submitted to us, or if your contact information is provided to us.

We may also collect or receive information about you or your child from organizations, businesses, individuals, and other sources, including publicly available sources, governing bodies, teams, schools, universities, clubs, meet hosts, event operators, and professional organizations.
Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect certain information from you when you use the Platform, including internet or other network activity information such as your IP address, approximate location information, unique device identifiers, pages or features viewed within the Platform, interactions with Platform content, upload activity, processing activity, and Cookies.

Usage Information. We collect information regarding your use of the Platform and any other User Content that you generate through or upload to our Platform.

Device Information. We collect certain information about the device you use to access the Platform, such as IP address, user agent, device type, device model, operating system, app version, browser type, mobile carrier, time zone settings, network type, device identifiers, crash logs, upload diagnostics, and similar technical information. We may use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, improve, and support the Platform, including video upload, processing, account access, and performance analysis features.

Location Data. We may collect approximate location information, such as location derived from your IP address, and location information you choose to provide or upload to the Platform, including meet, pool, team, or competition location information.

Image, Video, and Audio Information. We may collect and process information from videos, images, and audio uploaded to or otherwise processed through the Platform. This may include the existence and location of swimmers, bodies, lanes, starts, turns, finishes, strokes, underwater segments, race movement, timing markers, pool features, and other visual or audio elements relevant to swimming performance analysis. We use this information to operate the Platform, analyze swimming performance, generate performance-related metrics, create movement analysis, improve processing accuracy, support safety and security, and develop or improve Timedrop’s technology.
Videos uploaded to the Platform may capture multiple individuals, including individuals who do not have an account. Timedrop may process and analyze such individuals where they appear in video content, including generating performance-related data, where such content is recorded in public, competition, team, or training settings. Where applicable, such processing is based on the public or team-based nature of the activity, the context in which the content was captured, user or organizational direction, and Timedrop’s legitimate interest in analyzing athletic performance and providing the Platform.

Metadata. When you upload or create User Content, you automatically upload certain metadata that is connected to the User Content. Metadata describes other data and provides information about your User Content that will not always be evident to the viewer. It also includes information, such as your account name, that enables other users to trace back the User Content to your user account. Additionally, metadata includes data that you choose to provide with your User Content, e.g., any information used to mark keywords to the video and captions.

Derived Performance Data. We may generate new data, analysis, outputs, and insights based on video analysis, competition data, user activity, team or organizational information, public swimming data, and other inputs. This may include performance metrics, efficiency scores, rankings, comparisons, benchmarks, visualizations, trends, projections, summaries, athlete profiles, team-level analysis, and other performance intelligence.
Timedrop’s analysis, outputs, benchmarks, derived insights, systems, models, workflows, analytical methods, scoring logic, and performance intelligence are created by Timedrop as a core part of the Platform. Users and organizations retain any rights they have in their uploaded content, but Timedrop retains ownership of its Platform, technology, systems, models, analytical methods, benchmarks, and derived insights produced through its analysis, except to the extent expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

Cookies. Our service providers and we may use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons or pixels, to operate the Platform, keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure and analyze Platform usage, understand how users interact with content and features, improve performance, support security, and measure the effectiveness of communications or marketing. You may be able to control cookies through your browser or device settings. Certain cookies may be required for the Platform to function properly.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party service providers or our business partners, and the information practices of these service providers and business partners are not covered by this Privacy Policy.
We may aggregate or de-identify the information described above. Aggregated or de-identified data is not subject to this Privacy Policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate, improve, support, secure, and administer the Platform, provide Platform functionality, generate and deliver performance analysis, communicate with you, manage accounts and subscriptions, fulfill and enforce our Terms of Service, and support Timedrop’s business operations.
We generally use the Information we collect to:

Support Platform functionality and internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical, and survey purposes, and to solicit your feedback.

Customize Platform features, account experience, athlete profiles, team views, and performance-related content when you use the Platform.

Send service-related communications, product updates, educational materials, promotional messages, or other communications from Timedrop, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences.

Improve and develop our Platform and conduct product development.

Measure and understand the effectiveness of the services and functions we serve to you on the Platform.

Use User Content, Platform outputs, testimonials, screenshots, videos, or performance examples for marketing or promotional purposes only where permitted by our Terms, applicable account settings, user or organizational permissions, or applicable law.

Understand how you use the Platform, including across your devices.

Generate, infer, or analyze swimming-performance information, including age group, gender category, event category, team affiliation, trends, comparisons, benchmarks, likely areas of opportunity, athlete progression, and potential future performance, based on historical data, video analysis, competition data, and Platform activity.

Generate and deliver performance insights, analytics, and visualizations based on video, competition data, and user activity.

Help us detect abuse, fraud, and illegal activity on the Platform.

Promote the safety and security of the Platform, including by scanning, analyzing, and reviewing User Content, messages, and associated metadata for violations of our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other conditions and policies.

Verify your identity in order to use certain features of the Platform (as required by law), or in other instances where verification may be required.

Communicate with you, including to notify you about changes in our services.

Enforce our Terms of Service and other conditions and policies.

Train and improve our technology, such as our machine learning models and algorithms, including models used to analyze swimming performance and generate insights.

Combine all the Information we collect or receive about you for any of the foregoing purposes.

For any other purposes disclosed to you at the time we collect your information or pursuant to your consent.

Profiling: We do not engage in profiling, which results in legal or similarly significant effects, as defined under applicable law.
Team, School, University, Club, and Organization Accounts

The Platform may be used by teams, schools, universities, clubs, governing bodies, coaches, administrators, and other organizations. When the Platform is used through an organizational account, access to videos, athlete information, analysis, Platform outputs, and related performance insights may be controlled by that organization and limited to authorized coaches, staff, athletes, administrators, or other approved users.

Timedrop may process information associated with organizational accounts to provide the Platform, support the organization’s use of the Platform, generate performance analysis, maintain account security, provide customer and technical support, manage subscriptions or credits, and comply with applicable agreements.

Where Timedrop provides the Platform to a school, university, or other educational organization, Timedrop may process information in accordance with the applicable agreement and legal requirements. To the extent information is subject to education privacy laws, institutional data requirements, or organization-specific restrictions, Timedrop will process such information as described in the applicable agreement and this Privacy Policy.
Governing Body and National Team Access
Governing bodies, National Team programs, teams, schools, universities, clubs, and similar organizations may receive access to certain information, videos, analyses, Platform outputs, or performance insights only where such access is authorized by the applicable user, account structure, organizational relationship, agreement, or law.
Such access does not transfer ownership of Timedrop’s Platform, technology, systems, models, workflows, analytical methods, scoring logic, benchmarks, derived insights, or other proprietary Platform outputs unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

How We Share Your Information
We are committed to maintaining your trust. Timedrop does not sell your personal information and does not share personal information with third parties for their own advertising purposes, where restricted by applicable law. Timedrop does not sell personal information for monetary consideration to third parties for their independent use. However, we may transfer information as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, as described below.
We may share the personal information described above with service providers, vendors, contractors, and business partners that help us operate, provide, secure, support, analyze, and improve the Platform. These providers may support payment processing, subscription management, credit purchases, cloud hosting, data storage, video processing, analytics, customer support, communications, security, database maintenance, disaster recovery, product development, and other technical or operational services.

Payment processors and transaction fulfillment providers, who may receive the information you provide, information from other sources, and automatically collected information but who do not receive your message data.

Customer and technical support providers, who may receive the information you provide, information from other sources, and automatically collected information.

Researchers, advisors, or technical specialists who may assist with product development, performance analysis, model improvement, validation, or safety, subject to appropriate confidentiality, access, and data protection restrictions.

Analytics, communications, and marketing service providers who help us understand Platform usage, communicate with users, measure product performance, and promote Timedrop, subject to applicable law and appropriate data protection restrictions.
Timedrop does not sell athlete video, athlete performance data, or derived performance insights to third parties for their independent advertising or marketing use.
We may share all of the information we collect in connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of a website, a merger, consolidation, asset sales, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
We may disclose any of the information we collect to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, law enforcement requests, legal claims, or government inquiries, and to protect and defend the rights, interests, safety, and security of the Platform, our affiliates, users, or the public. We may also share any of the information we collect to enforce any terms applicable to the Platform, to exercise or defend any legal claims, and comply with any applicable law.
We may share your information for other purposes pursuant to your consent or at your direction.
We may allow you to use third-party services to sign up, log in, make payments, share content, or connect certain Platform features. These third-party services may receive information as needed to provide the functionality you choose to use. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Certain Platform features may allow information, content, performance data, results, graphics, social media handles, recruiting profile information, or insights to be shared with other users, teams, organizations, coaches, athletes, or approved account members. You should use care when choosing what to upload, publish, share, or make available through the Platform. Timedrop is not responsible for information that you or an authorized account user chooses to share outside the Platform.
Your Rights

You may submit a request to know, access, correct, or delete personal information we have collected from or about you at support@timedrop.com. You may appeal any decision we have made about your request by following the instructions in the communication you receive from us notifying you of our decision.

You may also update certain account information directly through your in-app settings, request access to personal information associated with your account, deactivate your account, or request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@timedrop.com or by using any account tools made available in the Platform. Personal information associated with your account may include profile information, contact information, social media handles, account settings, communication preferences, account activity, purchase history, subscription information, credit history, and User Content associated with your account.

Access, deletion, and portability rights may be subject to legal limitations, identity verification, account permissions, organizational account restrictions, the rights and privacy of other individuals, and Timedrop’s rights in its Platform, systems, models, workflows, analytical methods, scoring logic, benchmarks, derived insights, and proprietary outputs. A request for access, deletion, or portability does not require Timedrop to disclose proprietary technology, internal systems, analytical methods, scoring logic, benchmarks, model outputs, derived datasets, organization-controlled data, or information associated with other users, athletes, teams, or organizations except where required by applicable law.
Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable measures to help protect information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. You should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Please note that information collected by third parties may not have the same security protections as information you submit to us, and we are not responsible for protecting the security of such information.
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and for the other purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We also retain information when necessary to comply with contractual and legal obligations, when we have a legitimate business interest to do so, such as improving and developing the Platform and enhancing its safety, security, and stability, and for the exercise or defense of legal claims. Certain competition data and derived performance data may be retained to preserve historical accuracy, benchmarking, and longitudinal performance analysis within the Platform. For team, school, university, club, governing body, or other organization accounts, retention may also be governed by the applicable agreement, account settings, legal obligations, and operational needs of the Platform.
The retention periods are different depending on different criteria, such as the type of information and the purposes for which we use the information. For example, when we process your information such as your profile information to provide you with the Platform, we keep this information for as long as you have an account. If you violate our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other conditions or policies, we may remove your profile immediately but may keep other information about you to process the violation.
Timedrop and its service providers may process, store, or transmit information in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. This may include information used to upload videos, process analysis, generate performance insights, provide support, secure the Platform, and operate Timedrop’s services.
Children and Teens

Because the Platform is designed for competitive swimming, it may process information about children and teens, including athlete names, age groups, gender category, team affiliation, competition results, videos, performance metrics, and related performance data. The privacy of children and teens is important to us. Information about minors may be provided by parents or guardians, users, teams, schools, universities, clubs, governing bodies, or other organizations, or may be obtained from publicly available competition results and swimming-related sources that are routinely published as part of the sport of competitive swimming.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on the Platform, unless verifiable parental or guardian consent is obtained where required by applicable law. Timedrop does not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts without appropriate consent. However, the Platform may process information related to minors, including minors under 13, where such information is provided by a parent or guardian, processed through an authorized team or organization account, or available through publicly published competition-related sources.

If you believe there is a user who is below the age of 13, please contact us at support@timedrop.com.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using the Platform without appropriate permission, is using the Platform in a way that violates our Terms of Service, or is under the minimum required age to create an account, you may request deletion of your child’s account or request access to account information by contacting us at support@timedrop.com. Deleting an account will remove the account and associated User Content that the account holder controls, subject to applicable law.

Timedrop may retain certain videos, competition footage, competition data, performance data, derived insights, or related content where they: (i) were uploaded or captured by other users, teams, organizations, or Timedrop; (ii) include multiple individuals; (iii) are associated with team, school, university, club, governing body, or organization accounts; (iv) are necessary to maintain the integrity, historical accuracy, benchmarking, longitudinal analysis, safety, security, or operation of the Platform; or (v) are retained as permitted or required by law. Timedrop does not control the publication of third-party competition results and cannot delete or alter such records.

If you are a parent or guardian, depending on your state of residence, you may have the ability to exercise certain rights over your child’s or teen’s account. For example, you may request access to personal information associated with the account, request deletion of the account, or exercise other rights in connection with your child or teen by contacting us at support@timedrop.com. We will address these requests in accordance with applicable law and subject to legal limitations, account permissions, organizational account restrictions, and Timedrop’s rights in its Platform, systems, models, analytical methods, benchmarks, derived insights, and proprietary outputs.
Other Rights
If you are a California resident, once a calendar year, you may be entitled to obtain information about personal information that we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. To submit a request, contact us at: support@timedrop.com.
Users of the Platform who are California residents and are under 18 years of age may request and obtain removal of User Content they posted by contacting us at: support@timedrop.com. All requests must provide a description of the User Content you want removed and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate that User Content. We do not accept California Removal Requests via postal mail, telephone, or facsimile. We may not be able to respond if you do not provide adequate information. Please note that while we will do our best to remove everything you requested, we cannot necessarily ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the material.
Users of the Platform who are Connecticut residents and are under 18 years of age, and parents and guardians of users of the Platform who are Connecticut residents under 16 years of age, may request that we unpublish or delete their own account (for users aged 13 through 17) or their child’s account (for parents and guardians with teen users under 16) by contacting us at support@timedrop.com or by using any account tools made available in the Platform.
Agreements With Teams and Organizations
If you use the Platform through a team, school, university, club, governing body, employer, or other organization, your use of the Platform may also be subject to that organization’s agreement with Timedrop. In the event of a conflict between this Privacy Policy and a written agreement between Timedrop and an organization, the written agreement may govern that organization’s use of the Platform to the extent permitted by law.
Privacy Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of the new Privacy Policy, posting the new Privacy Policy, or providing any other notice required by applicable law. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Platform to stay informed of our privacy practices.
